We have identified that we can be more effective to our members by not being a registered union of employees. The first duty of a registered union is to the industrial relations system and not to their members. This in part explains the findings of the royal commission into unions and the deplorable conduct of far too many union officials. NPAQ will not be part of this corrupt system. More importantly though, the Fair Work Act is quite clear about the ability of this association to act on its Members' behalf in negotiations with your employers. This will be done on a region-by-region basis, close to your actual workplace, so that we will always be in touch with what our Members want.
